For the first time, District 60 rolled out the red carpet to celebrate an exceptional teacher and staff member from every school across the district—along with honoring district-wide Teachers and Staff Members of the Year at each level.

Reading develops critical thinking, strengthens communication skills, and expands understanding of the world. Individuals are exposed to diverse perspectives, cultures, and ideas, which fosters empathy and intellectual growth."

The School Showcase will be held at Pueblo Community College in the Fortino Ballroom from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

This Valentine’s Day season, the district has partnered with the Pueblo City-County Library District, which annually hosts a “Blind Date with a Book” display.

One of the 50 Christmas trees surrounding the National Christmas Tree in Washington D.C. features the ornamental artwork of Minnequa Elementary School students, selected to submit pieces to adorn a tree representing Colorado.
